
Maintenance and Renovation of Al-Samakia building - Karak to prepare it as a Wheat workshop.
Introduction
Caritas established the business definition area (BDA) in Karak governorate which is a Clay workshop in the City center. It is an old House of Sisters, The building was renovated by Caritas Jordan and it was officially opened on Feb 27th by the French Ambassador and It will be the tourist main stop before visiting other sites in Karak according to the agreement between caritas Jordan and the ministry of tourism.
The Beneficiaries were well trained on Clay production by a professional trainer, and enrolled in Cash for work modality. The design and preparation of the building is approved and in coordination according to the rules and regulation of Ministry of Tourism.
The Idea
The Idea Was to maintain and repair the hanger located mainly in the area of Al-Samakiya - Karak as an operator of wheat products such as (Freika, Burghul, Muftol).
• The Goals
1. Contribute to raising the efficiency of production through diversification of wheat products in the South and provide employment opportunities for the people of the region.
2. Training the people of Karak governorate to keep pace with the work programs and labor market requirements in the field of Wheat productions and raise the efficiency of trainees to become skilled professionals to cover the need of the market and benefit from the programs and projects that concern the establishment of small and medium enterprises, which contributes to reducing the unemployment rate, As they suffer from poor job opportunities.
3. Marketing: through the registration of products and the development of the packaging process and raise the quality of the product and highlight the brand.
• Activities Done:
• Maintenance work for the building area of 250 square meters.
• Buying machines for wheat products such as frikeh, Groats and muftool.
• The operation of a cooling room area of 20 square meters.
• Storage area for reception of Wheat and uploading the productions back to trucks.
